Hi, I'm Angela and have a deep love for all things natural health! I've experienced and witnessed healing from things such as postpartum issues (including painful sex, prolapse, and incontinence), hormone imbalance, Lyme disease, EBV, SIBO, blood sugar imbalance, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and more using natural strategies that work with the body's natural processes. Not to mention faster and more effective recovery from acute illnesses you may experience.
I'm not a fan of masking or relocating symptoms, taking a million supplements (though targeted ones to support your healing for a time can be helpful), or feeling like you have to avoid certain movements, exercises, or foods for the rest of your life.
Nourishing Movement is all about rethinking exercise and how you use your body not just when you're "working out" but all day everyday. In other words, being mindful of what your body does in the 23 hours/day you're not taking movement vitamins (aka exercising). Much like good nutrition, good quality, unprocessed, and "unboxed" movement is vital to life and health.
With the Nourishing Movement Program, you will learn strategies from the ground up. Not just exercises (though tailored corrective exercises can be very useful to improve the quality of movement more quickly), but how to move well in your normal everyday life. Basically it's like getting the owner's manual for your body's biomechanical system. :)
You could best describe my program as a blend of Physical Therapy (I'm a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy), Restorative Exercise, Pilates and lifestyle/holistic medicine. It's probably not how you typically think of Personal Training, but rather very focused, mindful movement training + education so you can practically and immediately apply what you learn to real life.
When I'm not health-strategizing or movement coaching, I'm usually researching something, working on a DIY project with my husband (follow our DIY journey on IG @ella_plus_kit), spending time with (and homeschooling) our three kiddos, and being project manager of our own family's health and home.
